Festival Place, my findings!

Well, half term is over and the kids are back at school…I love having them home, catching up and generally giving all of us a chance to recharge our batteries.

After my meeting today in Basingstoke I popped into Festival Place.  This is a great shopping centre with a wonderful selection of all the major high street stores. It was a door to door 45 minute car journey down the M3 which is quicker than me travelling into London so a great alternative for those of us who like a change.

I found this great dress in French Connection, a super dress with capped sleeves and detailing on the waist. Perfect for the hour glass, slender/athletic and top heavy body shape. You will see that this dress will do the job for you by allowing the body shape to be defined.

I really like Taking Shape, a store that specialises in fashion forward styles for women sized 14 to 26. Great colours and styles.

I Love a bit of glitter so was very pleased to see this round necked, short sleeved fine knit in H & M. If you see the hem, it’s tight knit so will not bag and will therefore, keep its shape.

A close up shot of the glitter within the knit.

Stripes are a very strong trend this season and it is great to see how navy, white and soft oatmeal are proving very popular in Zara. The item on the right is a dress, perfect for the Apple body shape as the blouson effect on the upper part of the dress is a great disguiser. All body shapes will suit this dress shape.

Not for all but I really like how Zara have teamed these outfits with white sneakers.

And finally my eye was drawn to the window of Laura Ashley, usually known for florals and a very feminine look the strong colours of these bags are great and can be teamed with so many other high street items this season.

lots of love
