Autumn / Winter Day dresses

So many of my ladies ask about having a day dress in their wardrobe so I thought I would show you a few of my favourites that will be perfect for this season.

The dress is my unsung hero item of the wardrobe, just underwear and your good to go….

The fitted shirt dress is so easy to wear and because it is denim the look becomes very casual. The shirt dress is the universal shape that suits all body shapes.

This one is from H & M, £34.99, sizes 4 – 18 ( size 14 and 18 out of stock online )

Not one to turn away an animal print this season, I love this dark green leopard jacquard tunic dress and at £22.99 and available in sizes 6 – 18 which I found in New Look. When trying on a tunic just make sure it is not too baggy and still gives you shape in your narrowest area.

Whistles always do the most amazing dresses and this season they have not failed to impress again. This is another shirt dress and the print is called Pink/Multi Papillon. i found this one in the sale for you at £115.00 and there is still a great selection of sizes still available. I hope you can see by the photo the waist definition.

Now, I don’t know who thinks that this style of dress reminds them of their school uniform or a younger child but it is so popular this season.

You can make this style of dress your own by adding in a leather jacket, a roll neck or shirt underneath, team it with a biker boot, cowboy boot or if your slightly more classic then a nice coloured court shoe.

You can see how this dress does pull in at the waist and what is nice is you can choose how much.

This check shift dress is from Oasis, it is £58.00 and sizes range from 6 – 18.

I saw this Kate Border print dress in the flesh yesterday in House of Fraser in Westfield, Shepherds Bush. It is from the brand Issa London and is £110 and available in sizes 8 – 16.

Just as I was about to press ‘publish’ for the blog post I realised looking back that I have selected all print dresses so here is one in a block colour for those ladies who don’t love print.

How lovely is the Trudy knitted dress from Boden, I will whole heartedly admit that feedback from a couple of my clients was that Boden had become very well known for being a ‘yummy mummy’ brand. Well, I’ve told them to take a look now as the new collections are just super.

This dress comes in black, red and seaweed and costs £98.00

Lots of love
