LFW round up

London Fashion Week or #LFW as we know it on Twitter only happens twice a year but it is the time when I watch and wait to see what the designers are enticing us into for the next season ( Spring / Summer 2013 ). As usual we see all sorts of strange catwalk shows, depending on the designer but I can honestly say none of them fail to disappoint. I for one, sit with my mouth open.

I wanted to show you some of my favourites from the first 3 days, you can just imagine the looks that will be on our high streets.

Day 1

Antoni and Alison are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. “We didn’t want it to be retrospective,” said Burakowski, who joined Roberts in giving a whistle-stop narrative of their collections and inspirations to date to introduce the show. This collection was all about colour and imagining the paintbox and letting the brush strokes create the designs.

The collection saw the most beautiful dresses, here’s my favourite.

Day 2

Wow, what a day…I had to show you my favourites but that would have nearly filled up the blog so I have selected only my top 3.

We saw the wonderful Clements Ribeiro, showing how floral is obviously here to stay for yet another summer. Great dresses in sweet floral and hawaiian prints in the now signature colour.

This was a great picture to show you both of the prints. I can’t wait to see how the high street will represent this and o’h how our summer will come alive with print and colour.

Dungarees are coming back and I love these pretty shorts from House of Holland. This season sees a collection full of attitude, entitled Buzz Kill. It was full of vibrant colours and so it was said was full of teen spirit.

I love colour & prints so it is no surprise that I am an avid fan of Moschino. We are seeing yet again beautiful colours and striking pieces loved by many from this iconic brand. I just love how the trouser suit and trousers both have the metallic look whilst being complemented & teamed by simple yet stunning designs

Day 3

Matthew Williamson, you make my heart skip a beat. My favourite designer who is celebrating his 15th year in the business this year has surpassed himself with this new collection. The signature ethnic prints and use of fabric just make you want to wear these gorgeous pieces.

For me, Matthew Williamson creates a collection he wants women to fall in love with, simple, stunning, elegant, fun and chic.

I could have shown you the whole collection I was that excited but I have picked out my 2 favourite that I can see you replicating next season.

I’ll update tomorrow with a couple more from Day 3 and of course Day 4.

Lots of love

Lisa
