I have always loved the blazer as it can add both structure to any outfit and it can also add a mass of colour and texture at the same time.
I had the luxury yesterday of shopping on my own, all in the aid of research I told my husband!! I found these great blazers which I know some of you will find them very strong and statemented but please do think of them with something simple underneath for example, a crisp white shirt, a long sleeve t.shirt or even a block coloured piece of knitwear.
This great tartan blazer with the leather collar really caught my eye in River Island. Imagine this with a white shirt, indigo jeans and a skinny red belt. Great to accentuate the waist on any Pear or Hour glass.
Really liked this one again from River Island but so different from the tartan. This print looks fab with a block coloured dress or skirt.
Warehouse is one of the brands I really like as they have the ability to create great prints. This long line blazer has this gorgeous mix of deep coloured florals. I would love to see this with a coloured jean to really allow the colours to pop.
Finally, in keeping with the Downtown Abbey trend you will see lots of these fabulous tweed blazers in most high street stores. I loved this one from New Look as the attention to detail was great and I fell in love with the coloured lining which complemements the overall tweed of the jacket.
I would love to know which blazer was your favourite.
Lots of love
